    Golden Echo

Four-year-old filly (Jumps) Trainer: Anthony Honeyball (Dorset) Shares available for £43

Golden Echo is an attractive four-year-old filly. She won her last start on the Flat at Hamilton on 13 July in good style for her previous connections and was subsequently bought privately by Owners Group. A lightly-raced, good-looking filly, Golden Echo has been purchased with a view to her pursuing a hurdling career. She is by Arc hero, Golden Horn, who has become a hugely popular Jumps sire over the past couple of years. He has also sired some high-class Flat performers, such as Group 2 winner, Trawlerman. Golden Echo is to be trained by Anthony Honeyball, from his Potwell Farm Stables in Dorset. Anthony is one of the most astute trainers in the country and has enjoyed plenty of success over the years, including with Owners Group horses Paris Dixie, Farouk De Cheneau and, most recently, Glynn. Golden Echo looks an ideal type to make the switch to hurdling and has size, scope, and a solid temperament. She will hopefully be able to make a start in novice hurdles this side of Christmas. “I am very much looking forward to training Golden Echo. She has shown a decent amount of ability on the Flat and we are looking forward to seeing what she can achieve over hurdles.” Anthony Honeyball.

He has size and scope and has a progressive profile, having been placed on all three of his starts this year prior to his win in July. He is closely related to the Group 3 1m4f winner, Remus De La Tour, who was a useful stayer in France. His sire's best progeny is the top-class Mishriff, who won three Group 1s, including the Juddmonte International at York. Believitanducan is to be trained by Alan King at his beautiful Barbury Castle Stables in Wiltshire. Alan has enjoyed a highly successful career to date and is known as one of the best dual-purpose trainers in the country, boasting wins at the top level over Jumps and on the Flat. Alan has trained numerous top Jumps horses, including My Way De Solzen, Sceau Royal and Edwardstone. He has also achieved great success on the Flat with the likes of Trueshan. Whilst we hope that Believitanducan will develop into a useful hurdler, Alan may wish to explore the Flat route further with him if he feels that there is more to come from him on the level. As a three-year-old (he turns four on 1 January 2025), Believitanducan is eligible for juvenile hurdles this season, and he will hopefully be fresh and ready for this challenge from the autumn onwards, having enjoyed a good break at EquiPrep following his purchase this summer. "Believitanducan is very progressive on the Flat. He ticks a lot of the right boxes and he could be a really exciting dual-purpose horse." Alan King
